Amanda McNulty, APRN: Ms. McNulty was born and raised in Caroline County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She graduated from Caroline County High School in 1997 at which time she began to pursue her dream of becoming an RN. She graduated from Chesapeake College in 1999 with an Associate of Arts degree. She then served 5 years in the United States Navy at the Nuclear Power Training Unit as machinist mate. After being honorably discharged, she continued to pursue her dream to become a nurse. She graduated from Jacksonville University in 2008 with her BSN with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude with University Honors. After graduation, she worked as a bedside ICU nurse for 6 years. She graduated in 2014 from Jacksonville University with a masters of science in nursing degree after completing the family nurse practitioner curriculum with an emergency nurse practitioner subspecialty. She is currently working as a family nurse practitioner in the small rural community of Woodbine, GA. She is also continuing her education in order to obtain a second certification of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is currently actively conducting a research study to determine the effectiveness of motivational interviewing on healthy lifestyle habits. She plans to complete her doctorate of nursing degree in December 2017. Ms. McNulty’s ultimate goal is to provide comprehensive, holistic healthcare and to assist individuals to improve and optimize their physical and mental health.
